Rabbi Yossi Jacobson, one of the most sought-after Jewish speakers in the world today, has lectured to Jewish and non-Jewish audiences on six continents and in 30 states.

Howard E. Friedman is a Founding Partner of legendary hedge fund Lanx Management, LLC.  He is the co-founder and former publisher/CEO of Watermark Press, Inc.  He served as President and then Chairman of the Board of the influential American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) from 2006 to 2010, and as the President of the American Israel Educational Foundation, AIPAC’s charitable arm, from 2010 to 2012.

In 2009, Washington Life Magazine listed Mr. Friedman as one of the 100 most powerful people in Washington, D.C.

He has served as President of the Baltimore Jewish Council, President of JTA (the Global News Service of the Jewish People), and currently serves on a number of boards, including the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health and the Simon Wiesenthal Center.

 

Mr. Friedman currently serves as the Chairman of the Associated Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore.  He is married to Karen Chaya Friedman, an Associate Justice on the Baltimore City First District Court, and has four children.


The esteemed patriarch of the Werner clan of KMR fame, Rabbi Simcha Werner is also one of the fathers of the Monsey Orthodox Jewish community.  One of the early students at Monsey’s Beis Medrash Elyon, where he studied for over ten years, Rabbi Werner has been the director of the Monsey branch of the National Committee for the Furtherance of Jewish Education (NCFJE) since 1969, an active beis din member, and a mentor at Yeshivas Menachem Mendel of Monsey.

 

Rabbi Werner is a fourth-generation rabbi who was born in Providence, Rhode Island where his father served as a local rabbi until his 1953 passing.  He studied as a boy at Yeshiva Torah Vodaath, then based in Williamsburg, and enjoyed relationships as a young bochur with such great leaders of American Jewry as Rav Moshe Feinstein, Rav Yaakov Keminetzsky, and the previous Skverer Rebbe.  As a teenager, he became a devoted Chasid of the Lubavitcher Rebbe and eventually took upon himself the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s work of Jewish outreach and education.
Dr. Pelcovitz holds the Gwendolyn and Joseph Straus Chair in Psychology and Education at Yeshiva University’s Azrieli Graduate School where he also teaches pastoral psychology courses He also serves as Special Assistant to the President of Yeshiva University.

Before assuming his position on the faculty of Yeshiva University, Dr. Pelcovitz was a clinical professor of psychology in psychiatry at New York University School of Medicine and director of psychology at North Shore University Hospital-NYU School of Medicine.


Dr. Pelcovitz has published and lectured extensively on a variety of topics related to the psychological impact of trauma and loss, child and adolescent behavior problems, parenting, and the impact of divorce and stress on children. His most recent books was a co-edited volume on child abuse in the Jewish community, and a book on parenting he co-authored with his father.
